So far, 337 individuals have been found positive under this cluster, which involves two districts — Tawau and Lahad Datu, from a total of 2,837 individuals who have been screened; 1,584 are still awaiting their test results while 916 have been found negative.
Following this hike, active cases breached the 500-mark today, with 501 active cases. The last time Malaysia recorded more active cases was on June 17 with 521 cases.
Of the 45 new cases, 44 were local transmissions involving 11 Malaysians and 33 foreigners.

The number of active cases reported today was 295, the highest since June 19 when there were 344 active cases.

Active cases dropped to 151 from 177 reported yesterday, as 36 more Covid-19 patients recovered. This raised total recoveries to 9,030, representing a recovery rate of 97%.
